The Mitsubishi Jet Towel SMART (JT-S1AP-S-NA) is designed to be a high-speed drying, low-noise, energy-saving hand-drying solution. Unlike previous Mitsubishi Jet Towels that were “hands-down-in” style, the new SMART dryer is a more traditional “hands-under” model. The Jet Towel SMART’s powerful, yet energy-efficient commutator brushless motor can produce an air velocity of 31,064 lfm or 353 mph and an air volume of 60 cubic feet per minute. But at the same time, it only produces a sound level of 62 dB…significantly quieter that other wall mounted hand dryers on the market. And although there is no water-catch reservoir on this model, the floor below this unit remains dry by the air being directed straight down & away from the user (keeping clothes from getting wet). The heating element can be switched to “OFF” by the owner to optimize energy efficiency. But when set to "ON", the user feels warm air of approx. 95°F. With the heating element “On”, dry time is an amazing 9 to 12 seconds, (10 to 13 seconds with heating element “Off”), but the actual length of the run cycle is determined by the user. The Jet Towel SMART uses an infrared optical sensor to activate, making its use completely touchless. As soon as the user's hands are inserted underneath the unit, the motor and heating element (if “On”) are activated. As the user withdrawals his or her hands, the drying cycle is terminated. Another unique feature of the SMART is that the air intake is on the side of the unit; not on the bottom like nearly all other brands. Bottom intakes increase the potential for mold & bacteria growth beneath & inside the unit due to blow back off the user’s hands. The Jet Towel SMART remains clean both inside & out. In addition to all of this, Jet Towel SMART looks great. Similar to modern color-molded car bumpers, the ABS resin cover is metallic-silver/dark dray in color and compliments today’s popular stainless & chrome fixtures. The exterior surfaces of that is both attractive & easy to clean; it’s alcohol-resistant, allowing for worry-free application of alcohol-based cleaning solutions.
